KYC Analyst - Global Banking Group



A global banking group is seeking a KYC Analyst to be part of a new team based in London.



Client;



They are a global banking group that holds offices across Europe, Asia and the US. Due to the large nature of the group they deal with all banking related issues. This current KYC Analyst role sits within their investment banking division as part of a new team. They are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 years KYC experience and also has a desire to pursue a career in the 1st line of defence. Those with previous experience in a client facing capacity will be at an advantage.



The Role;



As part of a new team the KYC Analyst will be working alongside another KYC Analyst. They will report directly to the banking group's KYC Manager. The role sits on the trade floor dealing in a more client facing role. The role does also incorporate KYC remediation. Role requirements are listed below;



* Be part of the onboarding team, working with HR and staff management issues, cementing themselves as a reliable and valued member of the team covering Financial Crime risk.

* As a team deal with approvals on high risk and PEP client onboarding, escalating were necessary.

* Ensure efficient and effective practices of the onboarding process, in compliance with regulations and procedures.

* Establish/ensure high standards for technical guidance and interpretation in relation to onboarding, developing appropriate solutions were needed.

* Keep up to date with relevant market changes, using this market knowledge to further increase core knowledge base and contribute to the team more effectively.

* Developing strong business relationships with stakeholders to ensure they adopt the Financial Crime Policy at the bank.



The Candidate;



Good candidates will be driven to excel with a career in KYC and 1st line defence procedures. They will work well with a team and be a valued member of the KYC process. They must also be able to adapt easily to different working environments and maintain excellent communication skills.



* 1 year experience in KYC (minimum requirement), with a working knowledge of the current Financial Crime market that can be applied to benefit the business.

* Previous experience within investment banks would be preferred.

* Have a technical working knowledge of KYC and Financial Crime policies and procedures within the 1st line of defence.

* A minimum of bachelor's level degree.

* Be an engaging team player who is productive and proactive organising their time and those around them.

* Exercise sound judgement incorporating relevant technical knowledge to deal appropriately with different situations.
