Our client currently requires a senior network engineer for an initial 6 month contract to work onsite with multiple end customers. This well-known international organisation requires the expertise of Cisco Network Engineer with in excess of 6 years' experience. Ideally you will be CCIE qualified in order to complete the following requirements:



Support, design, setup and configure complex switching environments.

Support, design, setup and configure complex wireless networks.

Support, design, setup and configure complex routing environments.

Support, design, setup and configure complex security environments.

Assist in the design of multi-server environments.

Configuring and installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.

Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.



Proficiencies in the following is required:



Proven experience in the areas of Cisco Nexus 7k, 5k and 2k, internet routing and load balancing

Must have hands-on experience configuring routers, switches, load-balancers etc

Must have hands-on experience with the following firewalls: Cisco ASA, Juniper, Check Point

Must have proficient knowledge of common routing protocols, including but not limited to OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP v1, RIP v2 and MPLS.

Prior experience with managing Spanning-tree, HSRP, and VRRP

Solid understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols

Knowledge of all common Layer 7 protocols, including Telnet, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, NTP, and DNS

Solid understanding of HA protocols and network-based Data Center failover techniques
