This government organisation is the lead public transport provider for NSW. Their key focus is to improve the customer experience of transport services, to include rail.
Due to workload expansion, this company seeks to employ a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a long term contract based in Sydney.
As an experienced professional, you will have experience in the rail industry working on large-scale projects.
Your duties will be varied but will include dealing with variations, claims and sub-contractors. You will be efficient at processing payments and the formulation of contracts. Additionally, you will optimise margin while protecting the alliance from commercial risk.
As the right candidate for this role, you will be a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with extensive rail experience, preferably NSW. A strong communicator, you are able to deal with people on all levels from the client to tradespeople. You will bring a wealth of QS experience, to the table to ensure this project is contractually and financially succeeding. You must be willing to travel in and around the Sydney Metro.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written are vital for this role. You pride yourself on maintaining a safe work environment and are fully aware of the latest OH&S legislation.
