Senior Data Modeller (insurance industry)

This internationally respected, US headquartered, insurance business is looking for a Senior Data Modeller to join their Singapore based team. The successful candidate will be joining one of the most innovative and exciting firms in the industry which provides excellent career development opportunities for ambitious and driven candidates.



If successful, you will be expected to lead data management and analytics research to spot statistical relationships in large data sets. You will be expected to develop and test working hypotheses and contribute to the ongoing validation of models including the assessment of new variables. You will need to be confident adapting and developing new tools to deliver the nest possible solutions to complex problems and provide modelling support to different business units.



The successful candidate will need to have a degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, economics or similar field and have a minimum for four years experience working in a similar field. Candidates with strong a statistical background will be regarded highly, as will candidates with exposure to R programming language (GNU S), Visual Basic, Access, SQL and QlikView. Good team working skills are essential for the role as are strong communication skills.
