Hays are currently partnering with a Sydney based organisation that design, manufacture and supply Ventilation systems to the Mining industry. They are a small but growing organisation that have been operating in this field for 18 years and are now preferred suppliers to some of Australia's biggest Mining organisations. Due to continued success and ambitious growth plans they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to contribute to this growth.



The role will involve strategically identifying and securing national new business opportunities within the mining industry and ensuring retention and maximisation of key accounts. For the first 6 - 12 months you will work closely with the Director learning the operation of business and visiting all existing and new customers, and having significant input into market mapping and developing a growth strategy for the future. This is a consultative sell which will require you to build long term relationships with key decision makers within the industry, negotiating contracts and maintaining a strong awareness of market trends.



As the ideal candidate, you will be a senior business development manager with a strong solution based technical selling background, ideally to the Mining or similar industries. You will be a consultative relationship builder who understands the longer and more complex sales cycle, and be able to communicate with people at all levels. You must be able to work independently. You are also a motivated and ambitious business developer looking for a long term step up in your career.



In return my client is looking to offer a competitive package which is negotiable dependant on the person, with a lucrative bonus structure of up to 40%. All tools of the trade are offered along with a long and rewarding career path.
