An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a experienced public sector procurement professional to join an excellent regional organisation.



Key Responsibilities-



· To negotiate and manage a variety of business critical commercial contracts and framework agreements for the provision of goods and services.

· Working in partnership with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage the contracting process end to end, to ensure that all interested parties needs are met.

· Ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Regulations including the legally mandated OJEU Directives and the internal Procurement Policy at all times.

· Responsible for delivering contracts that are robust, free from risk, legally binding and importantly cost efficient and effective.

· Ensuring the organisation can demonstrate to the public through the scrutiny of audit both internal and external, that it obtains best value for money on its contracted non-pay expenditure and achieves savings targets.

· Co-ordinates and plans own work and the work of individual staff via a work programme.

· Line manage procurement staff and provide support and advice to operational and administrative teams across the organisation.



Required Experience-



· MCIPS Qualified - CIPS level 5 currently working towards MCIPS may be considered.

· Experienced in OJEU Directives and EU procurement regulations.

· Experience of contract management - the ability to manage multiple contracts to ensure best value for money with high service levels.

· Experience of project managing complex procurement activities from initial planning to contract award.

· Experience of building collaborative partnerships internally and externally.

· Experience of People management and development.
