This complex government funded organisation successfully runs several critical programs impacting the regional and remote centres of North Queensland.



The CFO is seeking a qualified Accountant to support the team through a Process Improvement project and a department restructure. Over the course of nine months, you will provide support to Program Managers in relation to their financial performance; driving cost efficiencies and conducting cost analysis. You will learn the roles of AP, payroll and a contracts focused finance officer, with the aim of providing cover support in this period as required. Further, you will assist in identifying and supporting process improvements across the finance function.



You will ideally be a CA/ CPA qualified Accountant who is willing to be hands-on. You will be a quick learner with attention to detail and have ideally had experience in management or cost accounting and contract management. Experience working for an audited organisation will also be highly desirable.



This is an exciting contract for an Accountant who is interested in developing further exposure to contracts management and change management and process improvement projects. There is potential for the position to extend past June 2015.
