Sr Software Engineer - iOS Accessories

San Francisco Bay Area, US - Consumer Electronics

The iOS Accessories Quality team is looking for an experienced and motivated Software Engineer to work on Tools, Automation, and Testing Infrastructure. You will join a dedicated and dynamic team of people responsible for ensuring that our customers have a great experience with accessories and iPhone, iPod, or iPad.



Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent work experience)


• Strong programming skills in C, C , or Objective-C


• At least 3 years of experience developing tools or building automated frameworks.


• Familiarity with hardware and software interaction of embedded systems


• In-depth knowledge of iOS, OS X, or Linux


• Ability to investigate and debug difficult bugs


• Good understanding of SQA methodologies & practices

Description



Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements for tools and automation infrastructure.

Design and build test systems to support new and existing hardware designs

Collaborate closely with software, hardware engineers to design appropriate tests



Education



Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent work experience)



Additional Requirements



Knowledge of low-level and system level serial bus and USB

Knowledge of iPhone accessories and third party peripherals

Experience testing consumer audio and video technologies

Ability to read USB packet capture files, serial bus traces, and board schematics

Experience with USB protocols on device and host sides, and Bluetooth protocols
