BPC Consultant/Architect

Essential Job Functions
Senior Planning/Budgeting/Forecasting architect, with significant lead experience in full lifecycle development of BPC Planning solutions.
- Gathers process redesign requirements; coordinates and participates in development activities and support the testing and implementation of package-based application software (Business).
- Builds expertise in interface and data conversion requirements, capabilities and limitations, and setup and configuration issues associated with product modules in specialty area(s) (Business).
- Understands the purpose, roles and activities related to a solution demonstration lab (SDL) and participates in applying this technique to facilitate application design and implementation (Business).
- Develops working knowledge of the Catalyst-prescribed approach with respect to package-based development and equivalent vendor methodologies (Methodology).
- Leads a team of 5-8 resources (company, client and third-party resources), in area of expertise, to conclusion of a project phase (Management).
- Maintains conceptual understanding of enterprise software package solutions and related implementation issues from a technical perspective (Technical).
- Interacts with confidence and ease when interacting with middle- and senior-level managers (client and CSC); uses complex strategies like indirect influence to build consensus and support (Relationship Management).
- Assists sales staff in qualifying leads and generating proposals (Leverage).
- Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel (Leadership).
- Communicates in formal presentation settings including proposal orals, client workshops and regional internal events; develops proposal sections, methodology work products and formal written deliverables covering area(s) of expertise (Communication).
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications- BPC Configuration expertise
- Experience with BPC 10 with both NW and MS versions.
- 5 years at least of BPC, FP&L and integrations of other systems such as Hyperion, Cognos, Oracle etc., are helpful.
- Strong Communication, and Project Leadership skills, including the ability to guide the Client through major decisions and options related to Planning/Budgeting/Forecasting processes and design decisions.
- Strong Functional Planning/Budgeting/Forecasting skills. Ability to shape/design processes, and work with Client teams to ensure adoption
- A good understanding of the financial industry in order to perform complex reports for EBI/TDA, Forecasting, Planning, Budgeting, Year End and other detailed reports.
- Experience with EPM 10 is necessary for generating all reports.
- Understanding BPC through Business Intelligence is an important fact in order to build the BPC structure around current BW Business Objects and the understanding of how to extract the data from heterogeneous architectures to the BPC area.
- Previous delivery experience in the Professional Services Industry (clear understanding of how professional services industries operate)
- Ability to scope/design/estimate work efforts around Planning/Budgeting/Forecasting solutions.
- Deep experience in Financial processes, including key Financial Reports, understand business best practice for Financial Planning and Reporting (i.e. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Work with executive management to define the Future State guiding principals, key measures and high-level roles & process
- Work with business sponsors to define interim operating model(s), roadmap and transition plans
- Work with business line management to elicit business requirements,detailed process flows, RACI, and define day-to-day operational job-aids
