A flourishing municipality in Far North Queensland is seeking a Senior Waste Engineer to provide strategic management of water and sewerage facilities and services to the community.



Reporting directly to the Director Utilities and Facilities you will be responsible for developing and implementing their Council's Solid Waste Program. You will act the Local Councils technical waste and expert and provide effective leadership to the construction and asset management to ensure the capital work program is efficiently implemented. This will include landfill cell expansion, capping works and remediation projects whilst accurate budget reporting and forecasting as well driving team efficiencies.



To be successful you will ideally be a tertiary qualified Engineer and have significant experience in the solid waste projects. You will also be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of local government policies and legislation in regards to the delivery of major capital work projects.
