Our client is a leading international retailer who have recently entered into the Australian market in a highly anticipated and exciting venture.



As Category Manager for Liquor you will be responsible for all aspects of Buying and Planning for the category with the ultimate accountability for it's growth and success. You will further be responsible for developing the Wine, Fine Foods, Tobacco and Confectionery categories. Responsible for managing a large team of Buyers and Planners, you will ensure excellent supplier relationships are maintained as well as effectively developing new business in the region. You will be instrumental in devising a clear strategy for the Category to ensure all commercial outcomes are successfully achieved.



The successful candidate will have extensive experience Buying within the Liquor category. You will have a strong network of contacts and will have a thorough understanding of the industry. Exposure to buying across the Fine Foods, Liquor or Tobacco categories will also be highly valued. In addition, you will be diligent and commercial individual with evidence of having delivered exceptional category growth in your previous role.You will be adept at negotiating terms with new and existing suppliers as well as integrating all promotions and product launches.
