A Developer is required for an immediate start on an 8 month contract with a major resources organisation based from their Townsville offices.



This position assists in developing, debugging, coding and scripting of the organisations applications.



We would prefer applications / candidate that posses the following, although please apply if you possess most of the below:



Technical skills:



* Senior-level Java (J2SE and J2EE) programmer. A minimum of 5-10 years pure Java development is required

* Oracle RDMS interfacing development experience (ideally 3-5 years'+).

* Some exposure to C#/.NET development (ideally 2+ years)

* Some exposure to SQL Server RDMS (ideally 1-2 years'+)

* Scripting skills (e.g. Unix and/or Perl and/or Groovy) e.g. 2+ years.

* Ellipse interfacing development (2+ years) experience.

* JBoss Application Server (dev/admin) experience (7.1.1 and/or 5.x)



In addition:



* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent

* Understanding of application integration in an enterprise environment along with sustainable development management applications.
