Audit Associate

Norwich, United Kingdom, GB - Accounting

Hays is seeking qualified or part-qualified audit professionals for one of the Big 4 firms, to be based in either Norwich or Cambridge.



About the role



As a Senior Associate within this global firm you will be required to do the below and you must therefore have this experience, gained in previous roles:



· Provide audit and business advice to a variety of clients

· Provide an on-site co-ordination role for audit clients including planning, day to day control of the audit team, liaising with clients and completing audit assignments

· Build and maintain strong relationships with new and established audit clients

· Work and liaise with other members of the audit team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary to provide high quality clients service

· Report directly to a partner, director, senior manager or manager

· Have supervisory responsibility for teams of up to 10 people

· Coach and train other staff;

· Strong business awareness, sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative

· Must be ACA or similarly qualified

· Have significant auditing experience



Other relevant competencies include financial reporting frameworks such as UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing frameworks such as UK ISA's. US GAAP would also be an advantage as would experience of working with a Big 4 Professional services environment.



Requirements

· CA qualified or equivalent

· Experience of financial reporting frameworks such as UK GAAP or IFRS

· Extensive experience of the audit from planning to completion

· Flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team

· Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels

· A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional client service

· A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions

· Candidates will also be required to demonstrate the ability to contribute to new initiatives, whether building relationships with target clients or other business development activities

· A reasonable degree of flexibility in relation to travel will be expected to serve the regional nature of our client base
