Client Sales Executive

We are currently looking for a Client Sales Executive to work in the Washington D.C. area.


This is a full time position with HP.




The Mid Atlantic State and Local Government and Education CSE will be responsible for ensuring that his or her Region meets or exceeds stated sales goals. This will be accomplished primarily through the following:


  • Drives efforts to expand and grow HP Enterprise Services market share and presence through establishment and cultivation of ongoing relationships at the CXO level with existing and prospective clients, including State and Local Government Agencies and Entities, as well as Educational Institutions.

  • Targets potential leads and pursuits, plans and selects most appropriate sales strategies and approaches.

  • Educates the client on the merits of HP’s range of knowledge and technology capabilities and expertise; leverages industry and financial business knowledge to create demand and persuade through the creation and presentation of compelling purchasing rationales.

  • Assists pursuit team in crafting and positioning deals and closing.

  • Shares industry, deal, and sales best practice knowledge with sales community; may mentor and coach other sales executives and associates. Responsible for managing demand and quickly qualifying opportunities


Reports to: Senior Director, Sales



Territory: Mid Atlantic, with focus on State and Local Government prospects in PA, VA, and MD. Location preference is the general DC area, but open to VA, MD and PA locations.



Quota Expectations: To be defined annually



Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience. Quarterly commission based on HP Sales Incentive Plan..





Qualifications


  • Documented top sales performance in a complex technology sales environment with 7+ figure contract values required.

  • 5+ years experience selling services based solutions, including ITO and Application Development offerings to State and Local Government strongly preferred.

  • 4 year degree strongly preferred.

  • Must live in territory in a location easily commutable via affordable air travel.

  • Must be able to work long hours and travel frequently. (50%+ travel)

  • Strong sales and presentation skills required.

  • Strong writing skills required. Experience in contributing to proposals preferred.

  • Must work well with groups and teams.

  • Required personal characteristics: high integrity, intelligence, critical thinking, maturity, high energy, strong work ethic, ability to energize others, demonstrated ability to consistently execute, passion to succeed.
