The role of Finance Business Support Analyst will be a key position within the Corporate Functions, Financial Controlling - Financial Reporting in Newbury (UK) and support the following -
The role exists within the Group Support Functions Finance Business Partner team which support central Group teams (Finance, HR, and Legal etc.) in the management of budgets and headcount. Support Functions opex exceeds £500m annually and involves relationships with all Grop Executive Committee members and Group teams based in Paddington, Newbury & Dusseldorf.
The role is an entry point position into the team and will offer the candidate the opportunity to develop and progress.
Role purpose:
Provide world class finance support to Vodafone’s Executive Committee members and their departments.
Drive effective financial control processes, insightful financial planning and value oriented support to the business.
Supporting all finance streams including Finance Operations, Group & Common Functions FP&A and other Finance Decision Support to ensure a world class financial service is provided to our customers.
Deliver accurate and timely forecasts for the operating and capital expenditure for a number of Corporate Functions cost centres.
Reviews current processes, and make recommendations for improvements.
As Finance Business Support Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
- Ownership of specific Corporate Functions cost centres with responsibility for the accurate and timely submission of those cost centres for forecasting purposes, and reporting of actual results.
- Assist other Corporate Function Finance Business Partners as and when necessary
- Assist in implementing cost reduction targets across the functions.
- Assist in implementing common processes
