This national consulting practice cover a wide range of Engineering service across New Zealand. Their Christchurch business has a professional services delivery team, providing structural expertise to the process of assessing earthquake damage to residential and commercial properties specialising in timber, RC and steel structural design.



They currently have opportunities for Structural Engineers at Intermediate to Senior level to join their Christchurch business. Their technical teams undertake visual inspection of primarily residential properties (free standing dwellings, multi-unit blocks and multi-storey apartments), and some commercial properties, to confirm the nature and scale of damage, attributable to earthquake events.



You will specialise in the Identification of conceptual repair strategies to address earthquake related damage, prepare concise reports documenting applicable background, assessment methodology, observations and outcomes and proposed repair solutions. The team also prepare conceptual/preliminary detailed design of solutions, including design in; reinforced concrete, steel and timber.



To be successful you will be a BEng qualified Structural Engineer with intermediate to senior level experience, experience working on residential and commercial buildings is very desirable.
