Operations Executive, Copper
Singapore, SG - Import and Export, Logistics and Supply Chain, Wholesale
You will report to the Operations Manager and you will be responsible to:
* Leading the co-ordination of the physical shipping program of long and short cargo and vessel positions.
* Actively identifying and exploiting opportunities to optimise trading desk positions .
* Liaising with suppliers, receivers, ports, brokers, agents and vessels on a daily basis as the main operational contact and initial escalation point of issues
* Liaise with shipping companies/ship brokers on shipping arrangements, vessel schedules and cargo tracking;
* Leading the negotiation of contracts for these services, where applicable
* Liaise with accounts department for processing of bill payments and provision of accruals on a monthly basis;
* Coordinating business/process development alongside internal functions, including Back Office, Risk Control, Treasury and Legal & Compliance.
* Handle sales order processing with suppliers;
* Charter Party fixtures with shipbroker;
* Monitor client risk exposures and pricings for LME hedging purposes
Requirements:-
* Able to demonstrate high level of trust, integrity and team work
* Excellent communication skills, efficient and well-organized working habits
* 3 years and above experience and detailed knowledge of import / export, International shipping and bulk/chemical tankers shipments preferred
* Knowledgeable about Letters of Credit, shipping documents, inspection and insurance of bulk commodities preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
* Able to travel from time to time (Mainly in South East Asia)
