SAP FICO Lead - Permanent - new position in Cork

SAP FICO Functional Lead specialising in design and configuration of the SAP Financials modules as a member of the Apple SAP EMEIA IS&T Organisation. The candidate will have applied software development and project management methodologies in the past to implement key projects. The position involves understanding new business strategies, providing recommendations for automated solutions to support new strategies and implementing the proposed solutions on time and on budget.

Key Qualifications:

•Minimum 4-5 years managing SAP projects with 7-10 years of SAP Financials experience

•The candidate should have worked in large global/international companies

•Have excellent experience in Finance core processes in R2R, P2P and O2C

•Have strong experience in Finance processes related to deferred revenue and product costing

•Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new areas

•Must focus on building relationships with business partners, members of the wider Apple SAP IS&T Organisation and be comfortable managing large teams, including offshore teams.

•Experience with Treasury, BPC, ABCOPA and CBCOPA is a big plus

•In depth understanding of the integration points to other SAP Modules including SD, MM & PP would be an advantage

Description:

The candidate’s responsibilities include working with the business users to define scope and gather business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of custom programs, testing and implementing the automated solutions.



The candidate will also be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with the Corporate SAP FICO team.



Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentations creation/delivery and meeting facilitation and an ability to drive consensus with key constituents. The candidate must have prior SAP project leadership experience, strong organisational skills, prioritise work effectively, and coordinate multiple projects in parallel.



The candidate must be eligible to work in Ireland and be available to travel throughout Europe and North America as the role will require occasional travel to the UK and the US.

Education:

CPA or Bachelors degree in Accounting with past accounting work experience is preferred. Prior experience in high tech and software industries is beneficial.
