Our client is an industry leading domestic freight provider who specialise in creating effective solutions for a broad market. By offering a truly unique range of services they have grown to become a very influential business, and they are seeking a senior Sales Manager to help lead the Account Management team.
Reporting into the Sales Director you will be based in the Western suburbs. Your key responsibility will be to lead a team of Account Managers who in turn manage and maintain a successful client base, identifying opportunities for new growth as well as creating cost saving initiatives to increase profitability. In addition to the management of the team, you will have a small portfolio of key accounts which you will be directly accountable for. The majority of your time will be office based, creating and implementing strategies as well as reporting and forecasting. The rest of your time will be spent coaching and mentoring the team as they seek to work towards the common goals.
People management is a key component for this position. The successful candidate will ideally also have managerial experience within the logistics industry. You will need to possess excellent time management skills, and be able to prioritise your work to bring about the best results for the team. Having full budget responsibility you will also need to be analytical and have unrivalled business acumen.
