We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic UNIX sysadmin/programmer/automator/integrator/security professional. The individual will be responsible for operations relating to systems security to secure global computing assets. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, innovation, and collaboration skills in working with various business units and their peers to deliver and maintain secure platform services infrastructure in a UNIX environment.

Key Qualifications

• Information technology operations experience


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated


• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills


• Experience with using and administering Linux (and/or other *nix) systems


• Base knowledge of networking and networking systems


• Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols [BGP], etc)


• Strong analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously


• Ability to work under pressure and manage difficult situations in a professional manner


• System, network and/or application security experience, including authentication, cryptography, patching, vulnerability assessment and compliance knowledge


• Scripting and programming skills and interest (e.g., Perl, Python, shell scripting, etc)


• Integration and automation experience


• Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services security


• Experience with application threat modeling or other risk identification techniques


• Detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits


• Development experience in C, C , PHP, Javascript, and/or Java


• Experience with development team(s)


• CISSP or other security, networking and systems certifications

Description



Evangelize security within Apple and be an advocate for customer trust

Participate in an on-call support rotation

Analyze network traffic and applications in order to create custom security rules

Participate in incident handling

Participate in projects that develop new intellectual property

Automate tasks and integrate tools and data using APIs

Participate in security compliance efforts (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOX, etc)

Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans

Architect, design, evaluate, implement, and support security-focused tools and services, including project leadership rol
