My client, one of the UK's leading general insurance groups is recruiting for an Audit Manager to join their London based internal audit function. This group covers multiple insurance companies and its insurance portfolio covers various insurance products including car, home and travel. They are seeking an experienced internal auditor with an insurance background.

Role Purpose:

The role of the audit manager is to deliver a variety of audits in accordance with the annual audit plan. In this internal audit position you will coordinate all audits across the business and operationally manage the senior internal auditors. The role reports into one of two Audit Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

You will develop direct managerial responsibilities and be responsible for the full audit cycle; planning, overseeing the testing and the review stage. Act as a mentor for the Senior Internal Auditors and maintain professional working relationships with key business partners. In this key position you will be able to identify key risks facing the company and create audit actions around improving the strategic business processes over the long term. This is an ideal role for an individual who wants to challenge themselves and make a real impact on a nation wide insurer.

Experience:

Previous experience of auditing in the insurance sector would be very beneficial
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
Practical experience of managing and supervising professional staff is a requirement
