We have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join the Seeds team in the newly created role of Supply Chain Coordinator. This position will take responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate execution of the Seed supply chain planning, processing and quality operations for Canola, Cotton and Wheat seed.

 

Reporting to the Head of Seeds, your main responsibilities will include:

 

• Act as Seeds contact for issues relating to the seed supply chain by working with key 3rd party external and Bayer internal colleagues to ensure effective supply chain coordination and execution for Seeds process, including the timely support of new variety and trait introduction and on-going process improvements.
• Coordinate the timely supply of seed, managing the overall supply chain process from paddock through to saleable product. Where required, be the point of contact within Seeds team to the broader Bayer organisation (sales, customer service and product supply) on matters relating to product supply.
• Supply planning including seed and bill of materials components for finished goods.
• Inventory management of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods and their components.
• Manage relationship with 3rd parties including seed producers, toll processors and component suppliers (bags, coatings, seed treatments, labels etc.).
• Responsibility for checking and authorizing payment for all invoicing related to supply chain activities.
• Strong interface with internal Bayer CropScience, cost accounting, product supply, forecasting, warehousing, logistics customer service and sales excellence teams to ensure that operating systems are set up and processes run smoothly, in a timely manner.
• Oversee the quality of seed going to market. Be responsible for seed quality management to ensure that Bayer seed meets agreed quality specifications.
• Interface with the Seed Production Manager and authorise when seed is suitable for purchase and payments to growers are triggered.
• Ensure Bayer QHSE standards met.
