Analytics and Data Management (A&DM) is HP’s Business Intelligence Consultancy practice, the practice specializes in the positioning, selling, design and development of business led IT solutions for our customers. Our portfolio includes
- Business Intelligence and big data
- New Media and unstructured data solutions
- Information Governance and Records Management
We have an advisory function and we are technology agnostic offering best practice approaches and solutions to our customers. We work with a wide range of technologies, some 3rd party as well as some HP owned solutions (including Vertica and Autonomy)
We are seeking candidates with extensive senior business engagement and analysis experience and individuals who can both lead and advise on strategic thinking on Information Management and analytics. A strong background in advisory and Consultancy posts and also in implementing Business intelligence solutions is of key importance to this role.
Breadth of experience in Consulting approaches and business analysis tools and tecnhniques is key to this position with strong exposure to
• Large scale BI solution designs and significant BI strategy and delivery experience
• Stakeholder engagement and running successful analysis phases of large Information Management programmes, engaging with and influencing staff up to CTO/director level.
• Working with a broad range of tools and techniques including
• Client Workshop facilitation
• Organisational Change Management
• Business Analysis, Requirements capture and Prioritisation
• Multiple Delivery techniques and methodologies
• Evidence of extensive experience in shaping requirements and solutions together with customer stakeholders
• Strong track record of successful pre-sales engagement and positively influencing outcomes to achieve sales.
• Good knowledge of Data Management, analysis techniques and the development of data models for clients
• Wide breadth of client and industry experience, covering major commercial and public sector clients.
• To lead pre-sales and bid responses for HP including direct management of staff as required.

• This post will require some customer facing time in both a presales and delivery capacity, we are therefore seeking candidates with previous consulting and professional services experience
Description - External
• Organizes and shapes an engagement team’s strategy to drive success
• Leads board level visioning sessions providing thought leadership to client
• Develops and manages relationships across the whole client base, discussing benefits and value at board level
• Commercially shapes deals based on business benefit to client rather than actual cost to complete (value based
pricing)identifying risk/reward opportunities and developing business cases to work with clients in new and different ways
to mutual benefits
• Drives key meetings and workshops to achieve the outcomes within the deadline
• Understands and utilizes the full range of facilitation methods and tools to run effective events
• Advises at board level on MOC strategies and implementation plans
• Consults on governance, strategy and transformation not just operations
• Builds and maintains significant alliances and support across the client’s business
• Leads complex Management of Change (MOC) initiatives
• Consults and shapes development of the client’s approach to identifying and managing risks and assumptions and for
realising benefits at a department level
• Shapes and directs proposals describing the hp solution and the associated value proposition
• Ensures knowledge capture sessions are arranged and executed building hp consultant collateral
• Clients are typically C-level managers. Can combine multiple consulting assignments and create new consulting
frameworks for delivery.
• Balances long-term investments against profitability. Is a leader in the business planning process.
• Assures that correct team is assembled for the engagement
• Overall engagement portfolio potential $5M and above and/or Service based consulting account potential total contract
value (TCV) $10M
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
10 years experience in commercial or public sector. Advanced Educational degree preferred.
