Display Electrical Engineer

Apple is looking for a display electrical engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of cutting edge display technology for the iPod/iPhone product lines. The candidate will work in a collaborative environment where creativity and innovation is supported and expected. The candidate will serve as a focal point within our team to optimize the in system application of award winning displays such as the Retina Display.
Key Qualifications
- •Proficient electrical engineering background especially in analog circuit design and validation.
- •Adept understanding and experience with scientific method, experimental process, and root cause analysis
- •Experience with simulation tools such as HSPICE and Spectre are highly desirable
- •Hands-¬‐on lab experience including data acquisition, and lab test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, etc
- •Demonstrated engineering passion, initiative, innovation, and creativity
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- •Experience in developing and manufacturing high volume display products is
- a plus
- • Knowledge in electronic displays, image quality, or graphics subsystem is a plus. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
Description
•Lead prototype design, bring-¬‐up, debug, and characterization
•Establish performance metrics and requirements through the use of models
and simulation, and design of versatile comprehensive validation systems for
prototype bring-¬‐up and validation of models
•Design of flexible printed circuit boards
•Lead design maturity for mass production through failure analysis resolution
and performance optimization iteration. Justify design changes through
quantitative analysis of trade-¬‐offs.
•Diligent action item/bug tracking, and presentations to executives and cross-¬‐
functional/internal teams to manage project milestones and issues.
•Author high quality engineering requirements and specifications
•Participate in cross functional design reviews, and address integration
concerns
•Investigate new technologies for next generation products and product
roadmaps
Education
Requires a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus α minimum of 5 years of experience
