A new job opportunity exists for a strong Media and Communications Adviser to join a busy division of a State Government department. This division looks after the media and communications for the department as well as providing general communications support to various divisions.



A gap in the team has led to the need for this role. You will be responsible for dealing with media enquiries, creating media responses as well as writing speeches, briefings and event packs. You will also work with a range of internal stakeholders to provide communications support and respond quickly to multiple demands.



To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong background in media relations and communications. You will also have experience working in state government with exposure to working directly with the media. You will have a positive and proactive approach to your work with a hunger to learn more and deliver excellent service.
