Corporate Finance & Governance Manager

A focused and inspiring qualified accountant is required for an interim job in Plymouth for up to a year to cover maternity. This senior finance professional will be efficient, methodical and proactive, with fantastic communication skills and the ability to present finance information to non-finance managers effectively.

Duties of the role include:



Leads the delivery & development of an effective & flexible Corporate Finance & Governance service, implementing appropriate strategic initiatives to ensure the efficient operation of the Finance Department & the organisation as a whole

· Leads the development & implementation of processes, procedures & policies, that meet strategic business needs, maintaining legal & regulatory compliance, & delivering on the commitment to continuous improvement

· Leads on the preparation & presentation of finance, audit, risk & corporate governance reports, developing & implementing initiatives to successfully develop the service

· Plans & forecasts on an on-going basis throughout the year in line with the Business Review Process

· Develops relationships with stakeholders, providing finance & corporate governance information, advice & guidance and resolving complex issues through creative & unique solutions

· Actively delegates responsibility for delivering results through leaders within the areas of Financial Accounts, Taxation, Treasury Management, Financial Systems, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Insurance, Business Continuity & shared administration, while maintaining overall accountability.
