Principal Structures Asset Manager

I am currently recruiting on behalf of the UK's largest Design and Build contractor, who are currently in framework with a number of Highways Agency contracts. They are looking for a Structures Asset Manager role for their on going contract in the South West.



As a Highways Structures (Bridges) Asset Manager you will be responsible for managing the structures assets in the contract. You will be responsible for development of the forward programme for bridges and geotechnical schemes. You will be responsible for; Leadership to the Structures Asset Team, Management and supervision of team resources, The safety of yourself and your team and the work carried out, Development and training of Structures Asset Team and Ensure that staff carrying out structures, brisdges, tunnel and geotechnical inspections are competent and within compliance regulations.



You will also be expected to; Develop and implement structures, bridges, tunnels and geotechnical Maintenance Requirements Plans, Ensure that structures, tunnels and geotechnical assets are managed to minimise risk to road users, Analyse asset data to identify and optimise affordable maintenance and improvement interventions and Deliver lump sum activities within agreed budgets



The suitable candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in civil or structural engineering and must be a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer. You will have experience in a similar role, managing and leading staff and an in depth knowledge and understanding of the inspection, maintenance and management of structures assets and the principles of PAS55.
