More information about UTC can be found at http://www.utc.com.UTCs Global Strategic Sourcing organization is seeking an energetic individual with strong drafting and negotiating skills and excellent business judgment for the position of Contracts Specialist. The position will be based in Farmington, Connecticut. Primary responsibilities for the selected candidate will include:-Drafting, negotiating and closing contracts with UTCs product suppliers, including complex, high visibility, multi-million dollar strategic sourcing agreements that require coordination with UTCs business units and functional specialists;-Leading or supporting commercial and contract strategy development for supplier engagements;-Providing strategic guidance to all levels of management on contracting matters, including contract interpretation, contract compliance, performance concerns and other issues related to supplier relationships;-Supporting the development, maturation and implementation of UTCs contracting processes, policies and other strategic initiatives, including coordination with UTCs business units; -Supporting the investigation, negotiation and favorable resolution of disputes with suppliers; and-Responsibility for coordinating contract amendments and renewals.
