Our niche armoured vehicle manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their successful team on a permanent basis at their Surrey based location. As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be assisting the Lead Design Engineer in the delivery of project/product line requirements.

This role is ideally suited to Mechanical Design Engineers who have a drive to design engineering solutions and solve complex problems. Specific Responsibilities

*Solid modelling and detailing of products using SolidWorks (can provide training for solid works)

*Control of Bill of Materials (BoM), CAD Models and Engineering Drawings.

*Engineer to all appropriate product targets eg cost, weight, strength etc.

*Assist in the generation of, and delivery to, project timing.

*Ensure appropriate material selection.

*Ensure manufacturing feasibility of product designs.

*Work in accordance to ISO9000 procedures.
