Site Manager

Preston, United Kingdom, GB - Construction

My client are a leading Regional Contractor who deliver new build and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors including Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Industrial and Residential.



They are currently recruiting for a highly experienced Site Manager to join their Construction team.

You will be required to work as part of the integrated site team on various construction contracts predominately in the North West and occasional locations across the rest of the UK.



Duties & responsibilities will include:

Ensuring a culture of safety is embedded in the team

 Recruitment, performance management, development and motivation of the site team

 Ensuring risk assessments and method statements are in place and adhered to.

 Managing all site activities

 Supervising the site team including encouraging individual development.

 Managing the design process and ensuring all approvals are in place.

 Controlling all aspects of interface with the general public and external authorities.

 Providing reports and attending/chairing meetings appropriate.

 Ensuring the works are carried out to a high standard and in line with the companies Quality Procedures.

ï· Establish and monitor key stage programmes

ï· Close out all issues raised by safety, quality and environmental reports and audits



Skills & Qualifications:

Trade Background

CSCS card

SMSTS qualification

First Aid Certificate.

Your past experience should demonstrate your technical knowledge of construction operations as well as your ability to motivate others

You will be a team player who communicates well with all parties

Flexibility may be required to suit business needs for occasional works away from home, nightshifts or weekends.
