Mainframe Client Capability Lead

Sydney Area, Australia, AU - Information Technology and Services

Due to our continued successful expansion, we are now seeking to reinforce our presence in Australian market, with the appointment of a Client Capability Lead. Ideally, we are seeking an experienced professional with extensive experience in the IT industry.


As a Client Capability Lead, you will own the end-to-end delivery for the mainframe service offering regardless of where resources are geographically or organisationally based or to which accounts they are leveraged.


The CCL acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the services and technical teams, being delivered through the capability, to the Account.


The CCL supports organisational goals and promotes the HP way.


There will be an expectation that you can not only manage stakeholder expectations, but effectively communicate a vision for our client.


Responsibilities:



  • Is the SPOC for the services and technical teams being delivered through the Mainframe Capability to the Account

  • Has end to end responsibility to ensure all deliverables are met by the Capability

  • Ownership of the Account related technical and related process documentation

  • Analyses actual performance against contracted SLAs, identifies gaps and formulates corrective action plans and ensures implementation of the action plans by capability teams

  • Responsible for Service Management process execution and roles (escalation, engineering, root cause analysis, technical incident management, CI owner, change implementer, tester etc.)

  • Responsible for the delivery of the assigned Statement of Work

  • Assist the Account in achieving/tracking cost target commitments


Knowledge and Skills Required:



  • 10+ years of relevant business experience with multiple customers

  • 10+ years of technical experience in at least one of the following Capabilities – Mainframe (Z Series), Storage, Back Ups and Databases

  • Significant technical leadership experience

  • Track record in successfully achieving/exceeding operational goals

  • Ability to work and perform in a matrix organization structure

  • ITIL/ITSM experience and basic certification (ITIL V3 fundamental)

  • Experience in Risk Management, Operational Governance, Change Management and Request for Service (projects)

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
