The UK & Ireland GBU represents around 20% of this group revenue and around 11,000 employees. The organisation has seen a number of acquisitions, each which provides its own many changes and challenges for the finance team.
Job Description
Reporting to the Atos UK&I Financial Controller, Central Functions, this role encapsulates:
Managing the Central Functions, Special Projects Team;
Managing the set-up of new accounts, Transition Projects, conduct Due Diligence /Investigation work;
Input into Commercial re-negotiations;
Understand the risks, problem areas and errors in Finance and ensure appropriate action is taken with the buy in of key stakeholders involved in the process;
Design and implement appropriate controls for Finance;
Ensure book of internal control is properly implemented throughout the UK&I business;
Ad hoc tasks (as required) to support the Atos UK&I Financial Controller deliver to key Atos stakeholders
Job Requirements
Essential / Minimum Criteria
Qualified CA or equivalent by experience
Knowledge of Internal Control / Risk / Compliance;
Problem solving skills coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude
Strong analysis skills coupled with an ability to deliver on time;
An understanding of the Commercial Issues and the frameworks of accounts;
Strong organizational, prioritisation and people management skills;
Strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with an ability to convey complex messages;
Collaborative, Disciplined, Professional, Proactive approach coupled with Leadership experience in business change;
Proven experience as an equal sparring partner in client interactions;
Ability to explain changes in trends and variances in financials;
Desirable Criteria
A broad understanding of SAP and other internal Finance processes within Atos;
Understands the implications of decisions and actions on overall business profitability;
Experienced in change management and transformation;
Consistently demonstrates leadership and commitment;
