Supply Chain Development Manager

Falkirk, United Kingdom, GB - Logistics and Supply Chain



A new opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Development Manager to join a leading Construction organisation based in Stirling.You will lead the supply chain activities across the business to support the strategic approach to divisional objectives whilst developing robust operational plans to manage supply chain processes and activities in accordance with Group Procurement & Supply Chain Management Strategy. Establishing performance led, long term supplier relationships focusing on value for money, service & product quality driving continuous improvement to develop competitive advantage.



Key responsibilities-



Oversee all aspects of the supply chain process taking ownership for the delivery of standardised process, procedures and systems to ensure the development of an integrated supply chain in accordance with company's Procurement and Supply Chain Management Strategy yin relation to the following:



· Responsible for the development and management of initial assessment, on-going assessment and final feedback systems for the supply chain, including workload, demand forecasts, turnover and resource requirements for key sub-contractors

· Support Bid teams in work winning, strategic supplier selection, supply chain solutions, bid submissions, local engagement events

· Oversee the evaluation, management and supervision of the Approved Supplier Database and the approval process

· Optimise and develop the existing supply chain in order to achieve high performance

· Measure, report and improve suppliers under the Performance Review Process

· Monitor performance feedback and share with wider procurement community

· Lead group wide category management process, ensuring implementation of supply chain anagement strategy throughout the business streams

· Implement local supply chain strategies and engage with suppliers for project delivery

· Support business streams in the integration of strategic suppliers into the business process



Qualifications



Qualified to Level 6 CIPS, degree or equivalent industry experience. An interest in studying towards full MCIPS membership is advantageous.



The role will require strategic thinking, leadership, influencing and change management, as well as a proven track record in people management.



The individual will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of effectiveness in managing and operating robust supplier relationships, solve problems, possess analytical skills, strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance internal/external customer focus



An understanding of the engineering and construction sectors is an advantage.
