Global Delivery Center Receptionist

Recently SABMiller has decided to open Global Business Services Centre to support refreshed operating model, take greater advantage of global skills and scale and support long term profitable growth. Global Business Services will be a customer focussed (we define customers in this document as our countries, regions, hubs and corporate i.e. internal) organization that delivers end-to-end processes, transactional processing and specialist services.
1. Key Purpose Statement
The GDC Receptionist provide a reception service and participate in the general administration duties of the Global Delivery Center Krakow. They will promote the work that is carried out across the GDC’s various services and project the reputation of the Center as being anxious to assist wherever possible.
The GDC Receptionist will deal with all people politely and tactfully, offering advice and guidance in accordance with GDC guidelines when requested, and they will contribute to the maintenance of the GDC’s environment.
They will ensure that they work effectively as part of a team, or teams, delivering high quality administration and support services to all stakeholders.
2. Outputs and Accountabilities
• Provide a main reception service to visitors and staff including the administration of certain services
• Provide telephone switchboard support / Operate the Centre’s telephone switchboard
• Provide appropriate administrative support to the GDC Facilities Lead
• Be responsible for general administrative workloads and to offer basic information and general advice to customers
• Carry out work effectively to agreed deadlines
• Within a structured process, to actively develop knowledge, expertise and skills across a range of activities as required by the Global Delivery Center
• Help reinforce SABMiller values and ways of working, and ensure they are embedded into the GBS delivery organization
• Undertake reception duties, answering general telephone and face-to-face enquiries and signing-in visitors
• Meet and direct visitors in a friendly and efficient manner
• Actively develop positive, supportive relationships with visitors, staff and students
• Provide information and advice to visitors in accordance with relevant procedures
• Book cabs and couriers as required
• Ensure that relevant administrative tasks are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
• Develop knowledge of a range of activities used in the normal job role
• Assist with the administration of the Centre’s activities such as room bookings, vehicle bookings, post, ID cards and other related support functions
• Provide support to other teams across the Centre when appropriate
3. Competence Requirements
The candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and experience:
• At least 2 year’s reception/general clerical/administrative experience
• NVQ2 or equivalent qualification
• Good numeracy/literacy skills
• Experience of reception work in a busy environment
• Excellent telephone skills
• Experience of dealing with customers
• Able to work on own initiative
• Ability to work in a demanding, busy environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience of IT, particularly Microsoft Office applications
• Appropriate knowledge of first aid
• Commitment to the implementation of the Centre's Equal Opportunities Policy
