Application Management Analyst
As an applications management analyst you will experience both business and technical service management roles utilizing ITIL best practice for HP’s clients within the public and commercial sectors. Our 24 month program offers you the opportunity to experience a series of strategic rotations to ensure you gain exposure to all parts of our business.
Our technical roles offer you the chance to grow your skills and experience whilst working alongside some of the most talented people in HP. Roles include incident analysis, operational & environmental support, service design & provisioning and problem management. Within our technical roles you will get the chance to use your problem-solving abilities in a busy and technically diverse area.
Our business roles offer you the opportunity to work in service management and project management. Within service management you will be responsible for the implementation and management or our portfolio of services for our customers. Such roles within this area include event management, incident management, service level management and change & release management. Project management roles include project tracking, risk & issue management, quality management and reporting functions.
It all begins with a two week on-boarding course where you’ll get to grips with our business and how you fit into it. You’ll participate in ITIL v3 foundation, attend workshops, work on projects and undergo intensive professional, technical and project management training in order to prepare you for your new role. Straight away, you'll be working with people who are experts in their field. As a valued part of the team, we’ll expect you to give your insight and opinion, and make a real contribution to our business.
Throughout this scheme, your training and development won’t stop. You’ll attend sessions designed to hone your soft skills, and you’ll have the support of your line manager, an assigned mentor and a graduate-level buddy. Through ongoing appraisals and feedback processes, you’ll drive your career.

We’re looking for high achievers who have graduated in 2014 or 2015 and achieved a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a computing discipline or with a strong interest in a career in IT. A confident communicator and excellent organiser, you’ll combine a proactive and enthusiastic attitude with strong time and project management skills. You’ll also need to be able to work on your own and as part of a team, and must be eligible to work in the UK.
