Hays Construction are working in partnership with a leading multi state builder who due to an anticipated upsurge in work are looking to add an experienced project manager with hotel refurbishment experience to their ranks. Our client invest in and develop their key staff and their project manager group is viewed as one of the best in the industry. As project manager for this company you will be given scope and autonomy to run large refurbishment projects up to $100million. You will be expected to manage a complex building project from both a commercial and operational perspective leading and managing a team of experienced professionals in achieving a successful outcome for your employer and your client. You will own the relationship with your client and will ensure that a positive environment is created to ensure project runs smoothly. You will also lead the operational team with a key focus on building methodology, programme and commercial reporting. Our client work across the market but with some attractive opportunities developing in the hotel space this role will definitely suit someone with large scale hotel refurbishment or newbuild experience.

The ideal candidate is an expert in the delivery of large complex building refurbishment and has at least 5 years experience as a project manager for a reputable building company. Degree qualified and with experience as either a project engineer or contract administrator you have fantastic building knowledge and a strong commercial perspective on how building are put together. You are a natural leader with a positive reputation in the industry backed up by references.
