Key Qualification


A background in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering with relevant work experience; process engineering experience is a must. A strong knowledge of the flex circuit manufacturing process including familiarity with equipment, chemistries, and methodologies known in the industry. A strong knowledge of materials used throughout the electronics industry. Experience with HDI technology is a must; experience with advanced technologies such as rigid-flex, embedded components, etc. is preferred. The ability to evaluate options and make critical decisions under uncertainty and deadline. A creative thought processes.



Description


The responsibilities of this position are: - To work as a member of a cross-functional team to ensure manufacturability of flex circuit designs. - To maintain and enforce flex circuit specifications for external suppliers. - To evaluate flex circuit supplier capabilities and control systems. - To determine feasibility and provide approval for the use of new technologies on Apple programs. - To suggest alternative solutions where cost reduction opportunities exist or design limitations require



Education


Engineering education level and related experience.



Job Summary


This position is for a DFM engineer who will be focused on sustaining Hot Bar assembly & flexible printed circuits (include product quality yield, LRB) management
