- Provide competitive advantage through improved brand and market insights based on the synthesis of secondary data, analytics, competitive intelligence, marketing science and primary research
- Help shape Global Category Business Unit (GCBU) focus based on insight generation
- Prospectively identify top brand issues and opportunities based on data synthesis process
- Challenger to GCBU based on objective review of market data and primary research findings
- Anticipate GCBU analytic needs and marshal resources within Global Strategic Business Analytics (GSBA) to support
- First point of contact for select GCBUs related to business analytics
- Develops and reports out cutting-edge analytics in support of the GCBU
- Provide cross-functional GSBA team leadership and resourcing
- Partners with consumer and marketing excellence as needed
- Lead insight generation process
- Cross-functional responsibility of the insight team which will include membership of GSBA centers of excellence (data analysis, marketing science and competitive intelligence), primary research (consumer and marketing excellence) and other areas as appropriate
- Provides insight team findings and recommendations back to GCBU leadership and GSBA/BPA
- Measures and monitors ongoing brand strategy and activation performance based on agreed-upon measures
- Bridges knowledge between marketing and analytics and market research to ensure appropriate brand and market questions are being addressed
- Champion new GSBA structure and approach with GCBUs and BCC
- Synthesize learnings back to GSBA and BPA to provide understanding of business performance, including a specifically assigned region perspective
- As needed, will dually take on GSBA responsibilities in COEs to ensure coverage and ensure flexibility to the business needs
