Sales Specialist - Networking

Key Responsibilities:



As a sales specialist you seek out new opportunities and you expand & enhance existing opportunities to build and manage the pipeline in specialty area. You attain this by maintaining knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position HP's products and services better. You are constantly developing pursuit plans and manage the pipeline to ensure alignment with account managers. By understanding the unique business needs of the clients within their industry you establish a professional, working and consultative, relationship with the client.



Another part of your focus will be on growing contractual renewals for mid-size accounts, to higher total contract-value renewals. Building sales readiness and reduce client learning curve through effective knowledge transfer in your specialization. You contribute on proposal development, negotiations and deal closings.



By coordinating internal & external partners to deliver appropriate solution sale you have a big impact on the success of HP. You establish relationships with customer/partner at all organizational levels and you are able to interface with senior levels in internal and external groups



You team up with the support account manager who provides technical expertise and support, and participate in client engagements up to C-level engagements for more complex solutions in smaller accounts.



Scope and Impact:



• Works on HP's larger accounts.

• May perform project management role.

• May invest time working external partners.

• Significant percentage of time spent directly with customer; interfaces with all levels, including highest within customer organization.

• May develop business plan in conjunction with customer.





Qualifications

What you need to bring to the job



Education and experience

• University or Bachelor's degree

• Trilingual French – Dutch - English

• Directly related previous work experience

• A first sales experience required.



Knowledge and Skills



• Server knowledge. This means being an expert in products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings to be able to sell large solutions. You understand the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated, and integrate this knowledge into consultative selling.

• Sales skills. Demonstrates leadership and initiative in successfully driving specialty sales in accounts - prospecting, negotiating and closing deals. Understands and sells high value software solutions.

• Project management. You understand and apply program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure successful pursuit. Good account planning and accurate revenue forecasting skills.

• Client relationship. Cultivates & maintains positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention & growth, and position HP as the preferred vendor for meeting all business needs. Establishes a professional working relationship, up to the executive level, with the client.

• Industry awareness. Maintain expertise of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions.

• Teamwork. Collaborates with management and sales teams in shared accounts to ensure seamless integration of specialist sales with other sales activities.
