Principal Engineer - Secondary Air Systems

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a global leader in the power generation industry for an experienced heat transfer engineer with a background in the development of turbomachinery systems.



Specifically working on the analysis of Secondary Air Systems and development of components for industrial gas turbines; this role will see the successful candidate working on the development of finite element methods (FEM) and CFD to analyse the thermal behaviour of turbomachinery systems.



Ideally we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in the design of high speed rotating machinery such as steam turbines or gas turbines; with significant knowledge of heat transfer, CFD, and thermo-structural analysis for fluid flow. An interest in process engineering would be beneficial though is not essential.



In addition to the above, this role would also suit someone with project management and problem solving skills.
