Senior IT Category Manager & IT Category Manager

Peterborough, United Kingdom, GB - Pharmaceuticals

Following continued organisational success and significant investment in the Procurement function, we are recruiting to 2 new roles which have the purpose of becoming an integral part of both the Senior Leadership and Strategic Sourcing teams, establishing and taking ownership of category strategies to deliver value and consistency across the business. With scope for home-working and flexibility on base location, key duties include:



*Develop and execute strategic sourcing plan across a range of IT spend

*Establish effective relationships with stakeholder base

*Set clear goals for cost savings, value creation and supplier performance in context of business unit operating plans

*Use category expertise in relevant categories/commodities to establish or refine category strategy

*Conduct market analysis to develop supply market strategies

*Utilise deep understanding of industry, supplier dynamics and market trends to determine sources of leverage

*Ability to analyse spend data to identify cost saving opportunities

*Excellent oral and written communication skills

*Working knowledge of financial concepts and strong analysis



Key Skills

*Experience in corporate procurement with strong IT procurement experience essential.

*Knowledge of the market, suppliers and trends will be critical to supporting the organisation and creating an effective category strategy.

*The ability to organise workloads and negotiate critical contracts to tight deadlines, minimising our business risk and maximising our commercial benefit through scale and relationship are key to success.

*Strong experience in strategic sourcing and procurement is essential, to support and deliver cost saving programme across the region

*Good communication skills will be required to manage across the numerous stakeholders.

£45000.00 - £60000.00 per annum + bonus
