Assistant Manager Internal Audit

A requirement has arisen for an Internal Audit experienced professional to join a leading professional services and consultancy firm in Belfast.



My clients Public Sector Audit and Advisory team continues to grow rapidly. The team provide internal audit and advisory services to clients across the local government, education and housing sectors in Northern Ireland.



Advisory services represent a significant element of my clients current portfolio and typically include helping our clients with governance and risk management advice, fraud investigations and business cases.



We are looking to recruit recently or about to qualify CA or CIPFA accountants who will take on responsibility for the audit and advisory services, support the delivery of services to our clients and take a central role in reviewing and mentoring the work of junior members of staff.



Responsibilities



As an Assistant Manager within the Public Sector practice you will have responsibility for:



Be involved in the delivery of key internal audit and advisory work within the Public Sector



Identify and develop internal audit and advisory opportunities with new and existing clients



Manage important client relationships



Ensure that stakeholder relationships, both internal and externally are managed to the standards required by Deloitte

Requirements



To qualify for the role you must have:



CIPFA/CA qualification (or equivalent).



Significant public sector experience.



Significant experience in providing internal audit and advisory services.

Track record of establishing strong relationships with clients.



Working knowledge of financial reporting and controls.



Additional desirable experience includes:



The ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments.



Exceptional presentation, business writing and professional standards.
