Working within the Residential Environmental Health Team an Environmental Health Officer is required to work on a project involving the inspection of the boroughs Industrial Estates in partnership with Planning Enforcement, Building Control and Fire Authority Officers.

Following an extensive piece of research has been undertaken by Planning enforcement to identify a number of large industrial commercial/warehouse units on industrial estates across the Borough which have been converted into residential/live work units illegally. The role will involve the candidate having a full understanding of the Housing Act 2004, the use of HHSRS and its application, the ability to enforce under these powers and to take prosecutions when applicable. The role involves close partnership working with other internal and external agencies and business. The candidate will be expected to provide briefing report sand attend meetings
