Share Point Developer Specialist


SharePoint developer to work with teams within TS to create SharePoint solutions to support their business needs and gain efficiencies in their processes. This role will work with a BIC program manager on projects to fully understand what our internal customer is looking for and then develop customized SharePoint features according to BIC standards to meet the need.

Key Responsibilities:


Business Information Center (BIC)


SharePoint Developer – client side Works with Project Manager to deliver SharePoint solutions


Develops and configures SharePoint solutions in accordance with BIC architecture and strategy based on POC design and BIC standards. Applies problem solving and creativity


Performs functional, system and usability testing on solution according to project plan


Develops, and troubleshoots custom code and web parts, workflows, lists, custom forms, permissions, views, and other SharePoint functionality per solution design


Documents technical designs


Supports Project manager by attending project meetings and providing technical explanation and input


Develops prototypes and presents functionality to stakeholders


Creates scripts, develops code and applies utilities as appropriate to meet project requirements


Provides technical support on released sites


Implements approved changes via change management process


Participates in BIC core team meetings, technical meetings and project team meetings


Works across time zones








Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:


Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.


Knowledge and Skills:


SharePoint development experience using SharePoint Designer, is required.


Experience with JavaScript/JQuery and HTML/XSLT


Working knowledge of InfoPath Forms, Silverlight


Ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.


Basic Understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle. Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., OO).


Experience on one or more full release project life cycles.


Strong understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).


Basic understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.


Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio).


Strong understanding basic Database Administration.


Able to apply consistently quality and security standards.
