Business Analyst

Business Analyst Required: North Yorkshire
Contract: 3 Months
Rate of Pay: £325 - £375 Per Day
Experience within financial services.
To provide a professional and pro-active business analyst service for allocated project change or process improvement. Working either within a project team or directly with business managers and process owners to deliver change and enable the realisation of benefits.
To define clear and detailed business and systems development requirements for the improvement and implementation of processes and systems, adhering to systems analysis methodologies within the Engage project process.
Main Responsibilities:
• Elicit, define and validate the detailed business requirements for new and/or changed business systems.
• Understand and document ‘as is’ processes, identifying areas for improvement and documenting possible “to be’ processes.
• Ensure all proposals are viable and workable in the engage environment, identifying any potential business risks.
• Investigate and document identified problems, the feasibility of possible solutions and submit options to decision-makers within the business.
• Identify and manage stakeholders to ensure appropriate and on-going engagement with projects.
• Work within the parameters of the Engage project process to produce work of a high quality, meeting defined standards.
• Prioritise workload to enable deadlines to be met.
• Take an active role in non-specific but essential team initiatives, such as improving internal standards and procedures.
Whilst the Business Analyst will have primary responsibilities for providing analyst resource within the business change team they may also be required to undertake various tasks across the project process including project management and testing tasks as assigned.
Experience:
• Proven experience of working within a project team delivering business change.
• Experience of working within an Industry standard or propriety project management methodology.
• Experience of IT Development projects.
Desirable criteria:
• Experience of working within the Financial services industry.
• Project experience involving merger and acquisitions, cross functional processes and IT development.
• SharePoint, MS Office , MS Project and process modelling Tools
• Experience of system and/or user acceptance testing.
• 1 or more ISEB certificates at Practitioner level.
Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent facilitation skills.
• Sound negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to represent Engage Mutual in a professional manner to external parties, including potential partners, suppliers and acquisition targets.
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal, at all levels.
• Excellent prioritisation, organisational and analytical skills
• Customer focused, pragmatic and resilient to setbacks.
• Strong team member with the confidence to take accountability for their decisions and actions.
• Focused on achieving goals within tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
• ISEB Foundation or willing to work towards.
• CFP1 or equivalent or willingness to work towards.
