• Develop long-term strategic public relations programs with marketing Product Managers in the fields of oncology and neurology. Provide day-to-day strategic counsel and present public relations programs to the marketing team. Provide public relations knowledge and expert counsel on competing markets and competitors.

• Manage the implementation of public relations strategies and tactics for product launches, new indications, etc. Ensures that all press releases, videos and other media venues are approved by inside stakeholders. (Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Medical and Marketing).

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets on behalf of Bayer. Proactively contact media to protect and enhance Bayer’s interests. Provide direction to staff regarding media calls and determine appropriate course of action. This includes responding to issues on company’s behalf or soliciting information from the appropriate source. May also include recruiting the appropriate spokesperson, providing detailed background and coaching him/her in the delivery of the response.

• Explore and develop partnership opportunities for the product portfolio with key third party groups and opinion leaders.

• Manage the relationships with the various public relations firms and other external service providers, and ensure the most efficient and economical utilization of these services to maximize the return of budget dollars.
