HP Education Pursuit/Business Development consultant must have extensive sales and business development experience in the training and people development industry, consultative skills as well as the expertise to address specific student training needs and preferences, both in the pre-sales and delivery stages of a customer engagement. This role is measured on order, revenue and gross margin in assigned portfolios. Responsibilities include:



  • Develop, plan, execute and track broad-base go-to-market programs to meet business goals:


    • Develop new business opportunities in existing and new markets

    • Drive region demand generation programs to create leads and pipeline



  • Drive marketing programs through multiple routes-to-market:

    • Channel for indirect attach

    • Product Sales for product/solution sales attach

    • Installed Based for education attach to support contract renewals



  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in assigned portfolios

  • Work together with internal and external resources to develop solutions that meet customer needs and delivery capability to meet customer commitment

  • Ensure quality and total customer experience

  • Working together with HP’s account teams and business managers the Education Pursuit/BD spots opportunities to position HP’s education solutions at our Enterprise and Global accounts.

  • In a customer engagement the Pursuit/BD assesses the business requirement of this customer and proposes a learning solution that addresses and fits the people development needs of our customer’s workforce.

  • The education consultant takes responsibility in designing the learning solution to improve the customer’s business performance.

  • Write the solution specific parts of the proposal and/or deliver customer presentations to position HP’s education services offering.




Qualifications

• Working together with the delivery functions like the training coordinator and instructors, the education consultant is responsible for the total customer experience of the sold solution.


• Degree or higher, preferably in Business Information Systems, Finance or Marketing


• 5-8 years’ experience in sales, pre-sales or business development, managing business-strategic programs or driving marketing programs, preferably for an education related business


• Strong team player and yet able to work independently


• Demonstrates drive, ability to influence & work cross-functionally


• Can work effectively in a virtual cross-cultural team with members from different countries


• Preferably good understanding of education business operations, with direct and channel sales motion, CRM lifecycle and IT concepts


• Experience in certification training business is an added advantage


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Fluency in English, and preferably a second language


• Familiar with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook


• Preferably experience in developing education concepts and processes (e.g. as instructor, consultant, project manager, teacher) and delivering education consulting services like assessments, training needs analyses, skill gap analysis, curriculum design, design of job profiles and requirement profiles, change management or knowledge management
