Development Manager - PHP/MySQL



One of our clients, a large Australian financial organisation have an urgent need for an experience and highly technical development manager, who is an expert in open source web development technologies, this is predominately a PHP/MYSQL technical environment.



The role will require somebody who is a capable hands on PHP developer, but this position is not a heavy coding role, it is more strategic. We're looking for technical leadership, strategy, process improvement, road mapping, quality assurance etc. But most importantly we're looking for a true Agile performer and scrum expert.



It is a senior role responsible for managing an Agile Coach, 3 Dev Leads and around 10 / 15 developers on and off shore; there probably will also be some more hiring over the next year too. As (some) of the developers are off shore, so we do ideally need experience of managing off shore teams.



There is some flexibility around package and even contract, but ideally the client would like to start somebody either on a day rate or 12 month fixed term contract, then all being well offer them a permanent position after the initial period or maybe even a permanent hire straight off.



It's a very good working environment with a friendly social team who are all running in the same direction, needless to say we are looking for a like minding individual who enjoys working in team environments and lives and breathes Agile methodologies, PHP/MySQL and related open source web development software technologies.
