Hays Specialist Recruitment have been instructed on an exclusive basis to recruit for a major Multinational for an In-house commercial lawyer to join their expanding legal team in Belfast on permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity. You will Participate as a member of a team of professional lawyers, to provide an all- round, non-contentious, legal and commercial advice to the business. Candidate:

Requirements



Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience gained either in private practice in corporate/commercial role ideally with a leading firm.

In-house experience in a commercial role is preferred however not essential.

Demonstrated experience of dealing with commercial issues arising in complex, multi-jurisdictional bids / commercial transactions.

Demonstrated experience advising on tender responses and public procurement work.

Previous experience of the following areas - drafting and negotiation of sales and/or procurement contracts both standard and non-standard/complex, network infrastructure projects, intellectual property matters, data protection, dispute resolution and general commercial law.

Very high-level of commercial awareness / financial understanding

Strong team player - working in co-operation with colleagues and management teams in the provision of information and proactive legal advice

Excellent drafting skills with the ability to turn documentation around quickly

Excellent communication skills (written, spoken and negotiation)

Strong presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure

Demonstrated ability to work independently as part of a cross-functional team

High levels of engagement, drive and ambition.
