Transport Administrator

Kilmarnock, United Kingdom, GB - Logistics and Supply Chain

Our client is currently looking for a Transport Administrator for a 4-5 month contract with the opportunity to be extended. Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader this role will involve organising and administering the transport team to ensure delivery of results in line with distribution strategy and compliance with all relevant legislation.



Key responsibilities;-



- To co-ordinate the daily movements of 3 Drivers and the internal transport fleet to ensure required movement of liquid stock in line with schedule.

- To liaise with transport ensuring that the fleet maintenance plan is strictly adhered to both in terms of MOT & servicing.

- To administer all transport function paperwork , ensuring records for fleet are up to date & readily accessible & auditable.

- Data Capture and Monitoring of On Time in Full (OTIF) KPI performance·

- To maintain relationships and liase daily with Planning / scheduling to ensure 100% OTIF for all transport deliveries.

- To process and maintain product sampling in line with stock and customer requirements·

- To support absence / holiday cover within the Planning / Logistics team.



We are looking for candidates who are pragmatic problem solvers with the ability to deliver with conflicting priorities.Excellent planning and implementation skills. Significant experience of working in a transport/ distribution environment and ideally hold a CPC.
